Noteworthy News
David Dadey, Carlo Meija, Victor Ocasio, and Iboro Umana, 2008 BioMedRAP class members, were awarded for their poster presentations at the 2008 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), November 2008.




Adam Canver, 2008 BioMedRAP class member, was selected to present his poster at the 2008 Biomedical Engineering Society Conference (BMES) in October 2008.







Kirsten Kepple participated in a student poster competition at the 2008 Annual Meeting of The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society in New Orleans, LA. Her poster, entitled Neuronal Growth on Carbon Nanotubes, won 1st place in the Biomaterials division and 3rd best in show. As a result, she was awarded an all expenses paid trip to Lausanne, Switzerland to present her research (abstract below) at the 2008 Junior-Euromat conference. Congrats Kirsten!!!





2007 BioMedRAP class member, David Cotter, received one of the American Society for Microbiology Travel Awards to attend the ASM Conference in Boston, June 2008.

This award is very competitive and it is quite an honor to be selected!











2007 BioMedRAP class member, Ayo Adesanya, was awarded the best oral presentation in Molecular Biology and 2006 Class Member, Lina Arencibia, was awarded the best poster presentation in Molecular Biology at 2007 ABRCMS.
